             AN AUGUST APPLAUSE!

Recently while in prayer, our magnificent Lord settled upon me like precious dew in
the early morning.   A resting and a calming came over my soul as He spoke the following words:
“It is coming! All I’ve spoken to you is coming. Watch and see. As you worship Me, it shall surely come. My promises are not void if you walk with Me. I am who I say I am. I AM is here. Not near, but here!
My song of delights are upon you. In My Presence there is fullness of joy. (Ps. 16:11) What I have spoken, I shall do. My Word does not return to Me void, but  accomplishes the purpose for which I send it. You shall go out with peace and be led forth in joy and the mountains and hills shall rejoice with you.  (Isa. 55:11-12)  I am feeding you heavenly delights by My own hand,” says the Lord.

His word continued:  “Do not look to the right or to the left, but look up.   Your redemption draws near. (Luke 21:28)  You are my delight! I will shower you with blessings from above, from My Throne Room. Delights of promises fulfilled shall be upon you as My rainbow has spoken to you time after time.  But now, it is your time. Listen for My delightful sounds of glory and victory all around you.   Rest in Me. I am your Eternal Delight!”
Seek the King of glory with everything within the fiber of your being.   It will catapult your weary soul into new depths of refreshment by means of magnificent delights in Him! That, my friends, is cause for an August applause!

              HONEYCOMB LOVE

Remember the old saying the World Boxing Champion, Muhammad Ali used to say? “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!” Precisely! Bee stings hurt! What he was alluding to of course, was how he wanted to be able to move quickly inside the boxing ring, yet be able to deliver a sting to his opponent – a knock out punch!   He’s famous for both.   Can we be as well?
Can we be known as a champion warrior in the boxing-ring of life? Can we be as a beautiful butterfly being able to move quickly from despondency to declarations of God’s faithfulness and power? Can we move from doubt into faith, fear into fearlessness? Can we move quickly from downcast eyes to lifting up our countenance to the Most High God from whom comes our help?
Psalm 9 and Psalm 27 are powerful testimonies to this amazing walk of confidence we must indulge in. By all means indulge in that knowledge!  This belongs to us! Let us take hold of this trustworthiness we have been given in the Lord. His arm is not too short that it can’t deliver us from the lion’s mouth and bring forth honey {answered prayers} in the toughest places we’ve ever known. (Numb. 11:23; Duet. 9:29)

Butterflies and bees

Let’s be as butterflies and not get caught in a web of non-movement where we become stale, lukewarm and powerless. But in the beauty and strength of our God we can overcome.
Can we be like bees well able to sting the
enemy who has crept stealthily into our camps? Can we deliver a knock-out punch to this devastator of souls as he dares to get  in our faces?
Yes to all of the above.  Yes and Amen! We have the power! We have the Lion of Judah backing us up every inch of the way. We have the glory and fragrance of the Sweet Rose of Sharon, the Lily of the Valleys.  (Song of Songs 2:1-2; Rev. 5:5)  We have love power from Calvary’s Cross! It’s the sweet honeycomb out of the carcass of the defeated, demonic lion whose cheap imitating roar, prowls about seeking whom he may devour. (1 Pet. 5:8)

Samson’s life

Most of us know all the stories about Samson’s strength as found in the Old Testament book of Judges.   He was a champion fighter of his day!   It was he who coined the riddle, “Out of the eater came something to eat, and out of the strong came something sweet.” (Judges 14:14) In other words, out of the lion which can very likely eat a man, something sweet came forth.   How? Scripture shows us how Samson kills a lion with his bare hands and later finds a swarm of bees in its carcass. He then scrapes honey from it and eats it.
The Lord would have us grasp afresh, the power of His love which comes by way of Calvary’s sacrifice. The demonic roar of Satan toward the holy Lion of Judah was canceled by the power of Jesus’ blood!  This kind of sacrificial love, so graciously poured out for us, is the same grace we’re being called upon to give to those around us.   It’s the honeycomb love God is asking us to pour out to others. After all, Jesus rose from the dead! So can we! We too can kill the demonic lion who is seeking to devour us and eat honey just like Samson.  (1 Pet. 5:7)
There’s unfathomable power in the love of Calvary’s spilled blood. Herein is our heavenly mandate: “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons; freely you received, freely give.” (Matt. 10:8) We’ve been loved beyond measure.   We also must love others beyond measure.   It’s the way of the Cross and it brings the world to its knees.

A word from the Lord

May I share a word I received from the Lord not too long ago?   Scripture assures us that a matter is confirmed in the mouth of two or three witnesses. (Deut. 19:15; Matt. 18:16)  I’ve been amazed how this has transpired from various parts of the world. One came from a lady in our own church who came up to the pulpit one Sunday and Pastor gave permission for her to give the ‘word of knowledge or prophecy’ she’d received during worship. She spoke of the honeycomb of God! Another came from a friend in Africa who said the bees have been coming around more and more often.  There was yet another confirmation from the well known prophet, Kim Clement, who has spoken of this very thing saying the ‘honeybees’ represent provision or wealth. It also means revelation as when Jonathan’s eyes brightened when he ate the honeycomb. (1 Sam. 14:27-29) This is a kairos word for this hour!

“I am dropping the honeycomb of love upon you. You will know My sweetness in new ways. I will teach you how to draw honey out of rocks. This is a sweet-savoring time. Taste and see that I am indeed good to My children.
Remember, honey is sticky and you will all learn to stick together, but more so to Me! I am giving you honey out of the lion’s mouth. The roar of the lion’s mouth will be stilled by My sweetness. Like Samson, you shall have great strength! You shall know the strength, power and authority of the Lion of Judah! I am preparing you to roar with a mighty roar. You will now show My love to the world!”
I sense this includes great manifestations of God’s power as quoted earlier in Matthew 10:8.

Between a rock and a hard place

Referring to the Son of God, Immanuel, Isaiah 7:15 says, “He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.” Let us be like Him!
Deuteronomy 32:13 testifies, “He made him ride on the high places of the earth, and he ate the produce of the field; and He made him suck honey from the rock and oil from the flinty rock.” No matter how tough our circumstances, the Lord has decreed we are to ride on high places and eat the produce (provision/wealth) of the field. Honey and oil are coming to God’s people!
Our heavenly Bridegroom will soon break open the eastern sky.  He’s looking for manifestations of His sacrificial love for a lost and dying world.  Do we possess this kind of godly love?
In the most intimate book of the Bible, Song of Songs 4:11 pronounces, “Your lips, my bride, drip honey; honey and milk are under your tongue, and the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.” Again in the same book, 5:1 says, “I have come into my garden, my sister, my bride; I have gathered my myrrh along with my balsam. I have eaten my honeycomb and my honey; I have drunk my wine and my milk. Eat, friends; drink and imbibe deeply, O lovers.”
Imbibing deeply in ever increasing levels of intimacy with God, brings astonishing peace, joy, nourishment and power to our souls. My friends, if you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place, eat honey from the Rock of Ages, His divine love. Eat of the goodness of the Cross of Calvary and you shall experience victory in all areas of your life.
It’s time for breakthrough in our lives that causes the world to stand in awe and wonder of the children of God.  I hear the sound of music! I hear the angels singing! I hear the host of heaven! I hear the song of honeycomb love rising across the earth!

     INTERMITTENT INTIMACY

When a soul is passionately longing for God, how does one keep that fire burning brighter and brighter? How are we supposed to go from glory to glory, from intensity to even greater intensity in our desire for Him, especially in the midst of trouble, heartache and pain?  Is this even possible?!
Yes it is! In fact, God Himself encourages us through His holy Breath in I Corinthians 3:18 that we are called, in fact commissioned, to go from glory to glory. This is the hour we must reach for this greatest of all human desires baring nothing.
I share this with you because not too long ago, as I was before the Lord pondering all the devastations of recent natural disasters of blizzards, floods, tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, I was overcome with sorrow. My thoughts also went down another road. I began to dwell on the aches and pains in my body, hurts and offenses by those close to me, and I began to be overwhelmed with a deluge of demonic negativity that began to sweep over me like an overflowing flood!

Instantaneously

Have you ever been in a place like that? I’m sure many of you have. I call this intermittent intimacy with God. You start out loving Him, worshipping Him and then you allow your thoughts to carry you elsewhere.  But I must tell you, I have discovered from experience, the sooner I become aware of this demonic warfare, I instantaneously dismiss it in the Name of Jesus. There is no good and godly thing that will come from such anxiety, fretfulness, worry, fear, anger, regrets and hostility of soul. Proverbs 12:25 is encouraging, “Anxiety in the heart of a man weighs it down, but a good word makes it glad.” So a few seconds later I rebuked those harassing thoughts and astoundingly, my heart began to leap for God in a fresh, vibrant and very delightful way!  “How can that be?” you may ask.
God’s Presence and revelation, can change your world in an instant. I began to feel His closeness in a new level and He opened my heart to see things I’d not seen before.  I know this happens to many of you as well. However, I want to encourage you to continue the climb to higher territory in God!
I realized these latest assaults of nature and their intensity, are setting new records! They may very well be the fruition of Romans 8:18-23 ‘where the whole creation groans and suffers…where it will be set free from it’s slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.’ We’re about to see the very skies open up as Jesus is soon to appear a second time upon the face of the earth. Therefore, all of creation is about to be shaken as declared in Haggai 2:6, “For thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.”
With all this shaking going on, our mighty, eternal Jehovah God is our sure and unshakable foundation. He is our inexpressible, holy joy beyond measure!   This divine relationship with the Eternal Godhead is beyond any riches or pleasures of earth.   He alone is all comfort, joy, peace, healing, restoration. We do not need the things of earth to make us happy.   We need the Lord!
It isn’t often that I open up and bare my soul to the degree I’m about to. But I feel the Lord would have me to do so to strengthen you for the race He’s set before you.   With the Olympics taking place this month, keep in mind the Lord has you marked for gold! You are already a winner if you know, love and serve Him. You are already an overcomer because of His mark upon your life.(Rev. 3:19-21; 12:11)   What about all the others? This is the hour we must now intensify our prayers for the lost and dying world. Time is of the essence.

My prayer

“I need your heart, Lord. I need Your Face. I need Your Breath in my face. I need Your closeness, Your comfort, assurance and smile. Smile over me, Lord. I want all that I do and say to bring a smile to Your face. May Your godly glow come upon me that I may reflect Your strong, beautiful countenance of glory.   I want to be a messenger of Your Face!”   (Ex. 34:30)
“My heart is searching, and my heart is so needful of You right now. Hold me. I need to see Your eyes. Let me see deeper into Your glorious eyes of love and compassion.
Lord help me to be quiet, much more quiet in my spirit during this time…a peaceful, restful, godly, holy quiet that exudes an unspoken boldness.   (“In repentance and rest you shall be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength…” Isa. 30:15)
Comfort my silly soul! Comfort my alarmed soul! Comfort my unsettled soul. Bring Shalom to my life - a miraculous Shalom in the midst of busyness, for my heart longs and aches for You more than ever! Bring a splendid Shalom to all of my family.  (“And whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace be to this house.’” Luke 9:5) Write a good and gracious history for us, O God! May we please you always!” (“Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” Deut. 7:9)

The prayer continues

“Let this be a household of healing! Let all body parts in each member of my family, be healed. It can be done! It can! You want to display Your power, glory, majesty and splendor upon mankind! Use us, O God. Use us! Teach me now to be expectant. I want to see Your hot Breath changing us for Your exaltation. Let our family shine before You as jewels in the land! We have found the pearl of great price and it is YOU! (Matt. 13:46; Rev.18:12,16: 21:21) You are the Eternal Diamond, the Rock of all Ages that glistens and shines for all eternity. O come, O bright Morning Star!  (Rev. 2:28;22:16) Shine Your glorious light upon us. We need You as never before. We utterly love and adore You! Come Holy Spirit! You are welcome here. Come. Come now!
Dr. Jesus makes house calls! We open the door of our heart to You. Come in and heal every affliction now by the power of Your Name. May this house, our house of refuge, be just that for all who enter in. Bring forth Your saving grace in full measure. Glory Hallelujah!
I want to be taken into You, O God! Taken into Your eyes to see what You see. Taken into Your heart, to feel what You feel. Taken into You, that I may mirror You! Make me unseen that You alone may be seen in all Your glory. I love you so! I love you so! Oh, I love you so!”

No more intermittency!

Oh the deep groanings of heaven and earth and all mankind at this precarious hour of humanity!   The birth pangs of the release of the sons of God are upon us as Jesus’ Second Coming nears. Do you feel it? Are you aware?   Are you concerned about the epochal challenges of the day?  Or are you and I too busy, too comfortable? Are we going about our daily life as they did in Noah’s day, ignoring the signs of the times?   We need to remember there were only eight people saved when those floods came!  (2 Pet. 2:5)
We are in the year, 2008. New beginnings are upon us! New, fresh, vibrant, astounding things from our mighty God are being released as never before.  This is no time for intermittent intimacy with Him.   This is the hour of abiding in His Presence fully! “Thou wilt make known to me the path of life; in Thy Presence is fullness of joy; in Thy right hand there are pleasures forever.” (Psalm 16:11)

This book is a timely piece of insight, knowledge and revelation for the days in which we find ourselves. Lou Engle of The Call, who is one of those who has endorsed this book, recently told a group, “Linda Schreurs’ book rocks my world!” Certainly this book will upset the status quo!
Recently, while speaking at KHOP (Kingdom House of Prayer – Des Moines), I described my new book in this fashion:
“It’s the volcanic, explosive passion God has for us and how He asks the same thing of us toward Him through unbridled purity and holiness by the power of the Holy
Spirit that we may reflect His glory. It’s about knowing the Lord in ever deepening levels of intimacy with Him, being up close and personal. This intimacy with God causes victory after victory in your life.”
Probably a long description, nevertheless it states it well.
        Compelled and commissioned
This was not a book I chose to write. I was compelled and commissioned by the Holy Spirit to write it for ‘a time such as this.’ What is ‘the time such as this?’
It’s the global assault on holy intimacy! If the Lord is to come back for a Bride without spot or wrinkle, what does that mean? (Eph. 5:27) Let’s cut the clichés! Let’s get on with it! We need to be pure (especially ladies…even in the clothes we wear!)  We all need to be without spot or wrinkles in our hearts, meaning we need to be ready to drink the New Bridal Wine at the End of the Age!
1 Corinthians 15:46 says the natural proceeds the spiritual. Therefore, we must now be on high red alert. The world-wide battle to redefine holy, covenantal intimacy between a man and a woman (godly marriage) is the precursor for the spiritual battle of the pure Bride of Christ (persecution/Armageddon) and her soon coming Bridegroom, Jesus!  He will take unto His bosom only those who are undefiled, those who are pure, those who have not compromised His Eternal Word, those without spot or wrinkle.
The Lord showed me that as one would take a hot iron to press wrinkles from a shirt, so it must be with His people. Having no wrinkle simply means, the Lord will only take those who have a red-hot, passionate desire to know Him up close and personal in holy intimacy!
                      Keep the fire!
And listen carefully - did you know that being PURE isn’t even enough?! It’s certainly required because we must be without spot which represents sin. But there’s more than that! There’s passion and longing for God that’s key to entering into the pearly gates. Take note of the ten virgins who were waiting for the bridegroom in Matthew 25, only five made it in to the Banquet!  Why? Because they kept the FIRE! They kept the passion. They kept the oil burning in their lamps. They kept Revelation 2 where it speaks of not leaving your First Love or allowing your lamps to go out. They kept Revelation 3:16 and staying hot for God.
Ever increasing passion, desire and intimacy with God are key to being without spot or wrinkle at His last Trumpet call.
How about you? Is your lamp diming for lack of these things, or is it aflame and burning brightly? Read Armageddon bride and be challenged for a ‘time such as this!
