Waterfalls - the mist of Glory!
“Deep calls to deep at the sound of Thy waterfalls. All Thy breakers and Thy waves have rolled over me.” Psalm 42:7.
In the above photo you can see the beautiful rapids behind my husband and me as we were in the state of Washington a short while ago. The sound and mist coming up from those rapids brought sheer delight to my soul! It made me think of the power of our awesome Creator God. Genesis 2:5-6 says, “Now no shrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no plant of the field had sprouted, for the Lord God had not sent rain upon the earth; and there was no man to cultivate the ground. But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground.” This is none other than God’s own sprinkler system!
Who’s in charge? Who really is our provider and sustainer on rainy dark days or those filled with sunshine? Does not the Lord God make each day? Are we not told to rejoice in each one? (Ps. 118:24) We’re to get up each morning, put one foot in front of the other moving onward and upward in Christ Jesus. Start each day with Him and it’s a ‘no-brainer’ because you know exactly what you are to do!
We know in these unsettling economic times, we need not worry or fret. Make the world wonder about your status in life. Make people wonder why you have such peace when the storms are raging. Live the life you’re meant to have in Jesus. If the Lord can take care of all the wild flowers in the field, how much so you and I? (Luke 12:22-34) Our mandate is to allow the Lord to ‘water’ our situations and bring abundant life to them. (John 10:10) He is after all the Voice of many waters! (Rev. 1:15)
Our amazing Creator God has a kaleidoscope of ways to take care of His children. He can certainly sustain every area of your life in mind, body, soul and spirit. All He asks is that we surrender our hearts and anxious minds in passionate love to Him. Allow Him to be the divine and glorious spiritual sprinkler in your life. It’s so refreshing!

HIGH DEFINITION!
Over a year ago, we bought our first high definition TV and were amazed at the clarity. We now have a hard time watching another one in our home since it’s an older model. Those of you who have a Hi-Def TV, you know what I’m talking about!
Fine-tuned clarity is almost like being right there. It’s a different experience all together. There’s a spiritual lesson here. How many of you want to know the Lord in high definition?! You want to know Him up close and personal. You want to know His will for your life with specifics that define your todays and your tomorrows. You want each step to be aligned with His. You want clarity! You want hi-def!
Good question
Beloved saints of God, what is He doing in your life right now? What do you see or sense the Lord doing? Can you discern? Did you know that discernment is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit? (1 Cor. 12:8-10) It is much needed today.
My husband used to ask those questions every Wednesday night as he opened the Bible study. It always caused us to go deeper with the Lord prompting us to pull up the answer! So how do you answer those things in your own life at this moment in time? How is it with your soul?
We all know that in order to have hi-def, you need to be able to see! So we must ask for sight that we not be spiritually blind. Sadly, far too many in the church today can’t see into the spiritual realm of truth. Too many are not seeking clarity on the things of God by reading His Word, the Holy Scriptures, for themselves. It allows compromise and lukewarmness to creep in. YOU have to be willing to dig the wells for nourishment. YOU have to be willing to search out the most profound book on earth! YOU must know it for yourself and not be spoon fed. YOU must grow up! You must begin to go from milk to meat, and quickly! (1 Cor. 3:2)
Have you never read?
We make far too many mistakes in life because we do not seek the counsel of the Lord found the Bible. There is exceptional clarity and high definition for every area of our lives found in the Living Word. Jesus made this clear in Matthew 22:29 when He says, “You are mistaken, not understanding the Scriptures or the power of God.” He spurred us on many times saying…“Have you not read…?”
“Have you not read what David did…” Matt. 12:3.
“Or have you not read in the law…” Matt. 12:5.
“…and said to them, ‘Have you not read…”Matt. 19:4.
“…have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth…” Matt. 21:16.
“Did you never read in the scriptures…” Matt. 21:42.
“…have you not read that which was…” Matt. 22:31.
“Have you never read what David did…” Mark 2:25.
“…have you not read this scripture…” Mark 12:10.
“…have you not read in the book of…” Mark 12:26.
“Have you not read so much as this…” Luke 6:3.
Read the Word. Point made.
Daily Bread
Scripture is the most unique manual on earth for high definition in matters of LIFE and of DEATH. If there’s been a lack of direction or clarity in your life, perhaps you’ve not dug deep, or deep enough, into the Living Waters of God’s Word. Psalm 107:35 gives a wonderful promise: “He changes a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into springs of water.”
Perhaps you’ve just been floating along in a life raft, barely getting by and going nowhere. How would you like to know exactly where you are going and how to get there? Right now, purpose to access God’s Word. Get High Definition by reading it day in and day out, every day of your life.
Pass the baton
For many of you, this is not an issue. If so, then you carry a holy mandate to share with others the daily power of the Breath of God found within scriptures’ holy pages. You and I must pass the baton! Let others know!
“Give us this day, our daily bread.” This is part of the most famous prayer on earth and we must share this glorious bread. We must spread the bread! We must encourage hungry hearts that their paths can be cleared of the clutter of sin, sickness, disease, addictions, fears, depression, etc. We carry a mandate to let others know of the high definition and clarity of the Living Word in how to live their divine destiny found in God and God alone.
Watch out for blind guides!
Let’s not be misled! Jesus warned in Matthew 24:4: “See to it that no one misleads you.” Do not let another lead you astray if they do not know the power of high definition found in God’s Word. Again He admonishes us in Matthew 15: 4, “Let them alone; they are blind guides of the blind. And if a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” Avoid the pits! Avoid the potholes of life. Read the Word of God for yourself. Know it by heart chiming in with the prophet Jeremiah who declares, “Thy Words were found and I ate them, and Thy words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; for I have been called by Thy name, O Lord God of hosts.” (Jer. 15:16)
Stay in the Word, soak in it, live by it, cherish it. Then, and only then, will you have hi-def in your spiritual life!
Eye Drops
Did you know there is such a thing as spiritual eye drops? Our eyes need to be washed and cleansed from all unrighteousness. What are you looking at? Where do your eyes gaze, or graze? Do you look up, or down? (Luke 21:28) Do you look at things that destroy the soul within? Be careful!
The Lord is greatly concerned about our eyesight. He healed many blind eyes while walking the dusty roads of earth. He certainly desires to bring hi-def into earthly matters as well as spiritual ones. Note what He tells us in Matthew 6:22-23: “The lamp of the body is the eye; if therefore your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” Clean eyes see in hi-def!
“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” (Matt. 5:8)
An enlightened path
What do you sense or see? If you sense or see darkness, doubts, fears and besetting sins that control your life, isn’t it time to pour over the scriptures and see what God has to say about it? Begin each new day pouring the Word of God into your eyes, brain, and heart. It’s all well defined and laid out in plain sight for all humanity to see. You’ll get hi-def for sure!
The Psalmist writes, “Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Ps. 119:105) This summer, begin to enjoy high definition in your walk with God!
